Patrick and Peter Gray
Our Story
Since 1995, Executive Homes has developed a reputation for timeless design, livability, exceptional quality and value. Our success is based on the relationships we have built and maintained with our clients, vendors and trade partners over the past 28 years in business.
Whether you dream of living in one of Indy’s most prestigious communities or in a secluded get away on your own private acreage, Executive Homes is committed to building a home that is as unique as you are.
Our Culture
Our core values define the foundation and framework of your Executive Homes experience.
PARTNERSHIP
We’re fully dedicated to supporting our Executive Homes team, our longtime trade partners of more than 20 years and you — our most important partner. When you build with Executive Homes, you’re choosing a collaborator whose lifelong passion includes developing genuine relationships with all of our valued partners to carefully craft and deliver the home that is truly yours.
COMMITMENT
From the initial meeting with our president to the field superintendent’s everyday project management, our team will personally oversee each step of your homebuilding process while keeping open communication with you to answer every question and ensure your home matches your vision and becomes what we’ve promised.
RESPONSIBILITY
We build fewer homes than other builders to not only guarantee the quality of our homes, but also to be certain we are always accessible to every homeowner throughout the homebuilding experience. We promise to manage the entire process in your best interest. This is the Executive Way.
Our Team
The Executive Homes team is dedicated to making the home building process simple, seamless and transparent. From design through selections and construction, our clients appreciate our straightforward approach. At Executive Homes, our decision makers wear boots, not suits.
Peter J. Gray
President
At an early age, our president and founder Pete Gray was mastering his building skills. He would ask his dad for a hammer, board and nails and pound away until he couldn’t fit any more nails in it. He’d take every opportunity to learn the mechanics behind tools and quickly fell in love with homebuilding. You could say he was designed for execution. With decades of building and remodeling experience, Pete’s daily direction has led Executive Homes to be among the region’s most respected and awarded custom homebuilders. Pete has bachelor’s degree in construction management from Michigan State University and as an active member of BAGI (Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis), Pete has served many leadership positions within that organization. He is also a member of Carmel United Methodist Church where he has served on numerous committees. Outside of work, Pete enjoys time spent with his family and relaxing at the lake.
Patrick Gray
Construction Manager
Patrick is our dedicated construction manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations on our custom home sites. Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University with a double major in building construction management and residential construction. Patrick was introduced to home construction at an early age as he helped his dad, Pete, any way he could on job sites. Now he is running the jobs in the field and assisting our clients directly by overseeing their projects and providing consistent communication, collaboration and updates throughout the building process.
Sandy Dunbar
Controller
Sandy has built a 30-year career in financial management, with experience as an audit manager for a major accounting firm and as vice president and controller of a $450 million non-profit. The “go-to” resource for our clients’ financial questions, Sandy is an expert at managing banking relationships, real estate closings and financial reporting. She also works directly with our clients in coordinating the selection process and assisting with questions throughout the process.
Andrew Armstrong
Estimator
With more than two decades of construction experience, Andy has become an expert of all things Executive Homes. Before transitioning to purchasing and estimating, he excelled in project management and worked on concrete and framing crews. This hands-on, practical experience provides a comprehensive perspective to construction cost management that’s integral to helping clients achieve their goals within their budget.
Lisa Striewe
Office Manager
Daniel Powell
Service Manager
Affectionately referred to as “Punch Out” Dan, he is an expert at tying up the loose ends that truly bring a home together. We call it “polishing the apple”. When it comes to making a house shine, Dan has mastered the craft. His attention to detail and dedication to our finishing touches help us ensure your home is completed to our high standards.
Val Whitmer
Project Coordinator
Lacey
EH Team Mascot
Lacey is the official Executive Homes mascot. Always full of energy, she brings smiles to our entire team. She is an Italian mastiff who enjoys relaxing on the office floor, begging for cookies and visiting our job sites.
Put our talented and dedicated team to work for you!

Students Living a Mission (SLAM) is a non-profit organization that provides college students with opportunities to serve those in need in Nashville and beyond. Through service projects, students not only gain knowledge of God but also develop an understanding of the world and their place in it. They are empowered to act and make a positive impact in their communities, following the example of Jesus.
Executive Homes is proud to collaborate with SLAM to support the development of servant leaders who are dedicated to serving their communities and making a positive impact on the world. Working together, we can provide scholarships, purchase resources, and support ongoing programs that enable students to enhance their faith, leadership abilities, and commitment to serving others.
